Needs and Wants

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

Think I need some carpet in the basement? As you can see, the flooring is blankets and craps of linoleum over plywood.

Carly doesn’t give up on walking dispite all the tripping that she does! Today she hasn’t crawled once, except to go down the stairs which is GREAT.

Ultrasound Day

Deeder napping on the couch after arrival home

Carly on the ultrasound table

Our new baby’s 21 weeks along…

Well the baby’s healthy and it’s a man child! I’ll put ultrasound pictures up on October’s Child shortly. What a blessing to see a healthy properly developed baby–19 weeks to go, hopefully each uneventful and ordinary. :)

We’re Achieving!

Wednesday, June 17th, 2009

Deeder went poopy on this morning (probably because we told him we’d give him a new firetruck toy if he did)

Carly went down two flights of stairs without help (and outside toward the road)

and I drove around the school parking lot and through the cemetery.

It just took seeing my youngest sis drive up to our house! She and my sister Kayla stopped by to say hi earlier today–I can’t believe Lyd’s old enough to be learning to drive, and as with each child in between who has learned I feel a little bad about being left behind in the passenger seat.

Instead of hanging out and visiting with the girls Darren told me to get in his car and we together we headed out to the nearby school and switched seats.
It wasn’t all that horribly scary and I was pretty proud even though all I was doing was learning to go straight.

Thanks, Lyd and T for reminding me that I really want to do this, and Darren for taking me out. Not many 24 year olds get excited about doing what I did, but hey. We’re achieving! :)

Tomorrow afternoon we’re having an ultrasound and plan to learn whether it’s a boy or girl that will be joining our family this fall. I’ll be sure to blog on that!
