Frozen Fruit

While Deeder and I were out playing on this fine sunny winter day I spotted these grapes. They’re hanging tight to the vine as if ripening and being eaten was still going to happen.
Aren’t they beautiful? In that sad sort of lonely way.

Deeder was more interested in finding out what had happened to his friends the fish. Why didn’t they want food? Why wouldn’t they come when he called?

It’s just part of winter. And sort of sad, just like the grapes.

Ah yes, seasons of life.

Updates on our lives:

Carly’s two bottom teeth came through and her happy spirits have returned–thank goodness.

The sale on the house is pending.

Does that mean no one else can look at it? The paperwork that we’ve filled out is being sent to the home loans consultant. Then if all that goes smoothly closing should be complete by February 21st.

Those fish are mighty cold. Were they moving at all?

That’s sure exciting about the house. :)
