girl names girl names girl names

Right now the baby’s name is Abby Joy. But for me it’s so simple, a little too simple. So I still spend time with my nose in the baby name book.

Aanor

Kharmen

Kerstyn

Lenya

Maitilde

Renae

Dailen

Phoebe

Jocelle

Abbe, Abby, Abbie, Abigail

Joy, Joille, Jocelyn

Some couples enjoy keeping the name a secret until after their baby is born at which point others are left with saying nothing worse than, “Hmm, that’s interesting.” I, on the other hand, seem to have the need for opinions ahead of time. So. What do you think? It has to be german origin.

    Pheobe

I don’t keep the name secret either. We had names picked out either before we where pregnant or with in a week or finding out. The only thing about telling people the name is that they might say the don’t like it. My dad did not like Isaiah’s name. He said it was too old fashioned. My mom told me he said that. I wonder what they would have thought of “Willow Sage Faith” for a girl?!?!

I like all of the names except Aanor. Kind of sounds like Eeyore to me. :P

Excellent! Also, Phoebe. Carly thought I was telling her I was thinking of naming the baby “Pee-pee.” She gasped and nearly yelled “NO POTTY TALK, MOMMY!”

Pheobe is Dawn K’s oldest’s name. :) Also, Ranea is similiar to my favorite midwife over at Brattleboro OBGYN, but wouldn’t work since my neice’s middle name is Renee. You’re right about people being OK with voicing disapproval if the name is announced before birth. It’s like that’s a “Name Pending” stage. Although, I’m all for suggestions…except in the case of my oldest. Diederick’s a unique name, but all the same I found myself very stuck on it from the time that we discovered it. :)

Pheobe is supposed to be popular pretty soon-among the upper class peoples. My niece has the name Charlotte Pheobe. When Claire first heard “Pheobe”,she thot it was strange. I personally really like Abigail. What about Abigail Jocelyn Harr?

So exciting you’re having another girl! They are fun. I like Jocelyn (Josie for short, if you’re into nicknames). :) I heard a super cute name today, Maisie. Not sure of the origin though. Hope all is going well with you and your cute family!

I am friend of Taz’s and I just came across your blog. If you are still looking for names, there is a website that you can create a profile and create a Names list. You can then email the Names List to people whose opinion you ‘may’ care about and they can vote yes or no on the name. You don’t obviously have to take their advice, but sometimes it’s good to know. http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/

Time for a new blog post!! Since when am I okay with going so long without posting? I guess since FB took over my life.
As for names, I’ve decided on Abegayle Joy. I’m so totally on count down for that delivery date! Each baby I feel like I couldn’t possibly be more excited. :)
